I'd committed in that article to essentially provide an indication of what the course will provide attendees by way of proven practice and pragmatic toolkit to apply Agile correctly at the team and program/transformation levels.

As a certified trainer for this course, I don't this summary does it justice or really provides a true sense of 1) why should I attend and 2) specifically, what will I learn / acquire by attending (WIIFM?).
Here a list of things you will explore and learn how to do in the 2-day course:
- Connections: how to enable stakeholder trust, and your interactions and involvement in planning, estimation, governance, metrics, execution and problem solving areas of involvement at team and program levels.
- Decision Making: what decisions you in an Agile Program Management role will need to address, why and how. How to decentralize decision making to the appropriate roles.
- Just in time requirements elaboration across team and program (teams of teams)
- Application of the PDCA model (central to Agile) as it maps to Scrum and Program level practices
- Achieving flow via Kanban: How to design team and program level iterations (and associated WIP limits) to optimize flow at both team (output) and program (outcome) levels. How to split feature development across multiple teams via stories. Video guide re how to build Kanban boards. Techniques to measure flow and how to respond to what the measures indicate following retrospectives. How to optimize value via velocity and why increased throughput does not always equate to increased velocity. How WIP is connected with cross-team collaboration.
- Cadence and synchronization: How to make the program and solution level work “sprint”: and not just teams. How to determine, synchronize and manage team and program velocity, cycle time, cost, risk, dependencies and objective/outcome management.
- Agile anti-patterns and how to identify them/course correct as appropriate. How to adopt technical practices and manage technical debt.
- How to correctly decompose requirements at program scale and the pros and cons of tasking.
- How to build and lead high performing teams and the processes, practices and techniques to apply to relentlessly improve. How to apply formal problem solving toolkits to systematically deal with impediments at team and program levels.
- How to deal with real life scenarios such as one team in the program being late re delivery – what is the best approach to deal with this to ensure the program/overall solution remain Agile/deliver the promised value to the customer?
